Dignity‘s Editorial Board is excited to announce the second annual cover art contest. One piece of visual artwork will be selected as the journal’s cover for its third edition in spring of 2023. Submitted artwork must have a connection to human rights scholarship, which the student will articulate in the artist’s statement.
Submissions are due by February 1st, 2023. The contest is open to undergraduate students within the UNC system. Two entries are allowed per student.

Submission Guidelines
Dignity: An Undergraduate Human Rights Journal endeavors to showcase a broad spectrum of human rights scholarship by undergraduate students in the University of North Carolina System. We hope to inspire undergraduate students to see themselves as valuable contributors to human rights discourse by cultivating a community of engaged student scholars. This year the editorial board is expanding student engagement through a cover art contest. This contest is open to all UNC system undergraduate students of any discipline.
– Entries can be all different forms of visual artwork including drawings, photography, and paintings. Submissions should be uploaded as high resolution PDFs or images.
– Submissions must be accompanied by a brief artist statement, which includes an explanation of the work’s connection to human rights.
– Work must be completed while an undergraduate student in the UNC system. Each student is permitted two entries.
