Submission Guidelines

Dignity: An Undergraduate Human Rights Journal endeavors to showcase a broad spectrum of human rights scholarship by undergraduate students in the University of North Carolina System. We hope to inspire undergraduate students to see themselves as valuable contributors to human rights discourse by cultivating a community of engaged student scholars. This year the editorial board is expanding student engagement through a cover art contest. This contest is open to all UNC system undergraduate students of any discipline.

– Entries can be all different forms of visual artwork including drawings, photography, and paintings. Submissions should be uploaded as high resolution PDFs or images.

– Submissions must be accompanied by a brief artist statement, which includes an explanation of the work’s connection to human rights.

– Work must be completed while an undergraduate student in the UNC system. Each student is permitted two entries.
